1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Yumroll (“the Service”), available at https://yumroll.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service
Yumroll is an AI-powered meal discovery application that:
- Generates recipe suggestions based on themes, ingredients, and user preferences using artificial intelligence (Claude API by Anthropic)
- Learns user taste preferences through feedback (like/dislike) to provide increasingly personalized suggestions
- Provides recipe details including ingredients, cooking instructions, and estimated cooking time
3. Account Registration
3-1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA) to create an account and use the Service.
3-2. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- You must provide accurate and complete registration information
- You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account
3-3. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
Upon account deletion, all your data (preferences, generation history, feedback, taste profile, subscription records) is permanently deleted.
4. Plans and Pricing
4-1. Free Plan
- Recipe generation: up to 5 times per day (resets at midnight UTC)
- Basic recipe generation without personalization
- No credit card required
4-2. Pro Plan — $7.99/month
- Recipe generation: up to 50 times per day
- AI taste learning (like/dislike feedback trains your personal profile)
- Full generation history access
- Personalized recipe suggestions based on learned preferences
4-3. Pricing Changes
We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing cycle. You will be notified by email before any price change takes effect.
5. Payment and Subscription
5-1. Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing to the Pro Plan, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. We do not store your payment card information.
5-2. Billing
- Subscriptions are billed monthly on the same date as your initial subscription
- Payments are charged automatically to the payment method on file
- You will receive a receipt via email for each payment
5-3. Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time
- After cancellation, you retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period
- After the billing period ends, your account reverts to the Free Plan
- Your taste profile and generation history are retained (not deleted) when you downgrade
5-4. Refund Policy
- We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods
- If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the Service, contact us at support@yumroll.app and we will evaluate your case on an individual basis
- Chargebacks and disputes are handled through Stripe
6. AI-Generated Content and Health Disclaimer
6-1. Yumroll Is Not a Medical or Nutritional Service
Yumroll is not a medical device, nutritional advisory service, or dietary management tool. The service is provided for entertainment and informational purposes only.
All recipes, meal suggestions, and related content provided by Yumroll are generated by artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude API). This content is:
- Not reviewed, verified, or approved by professional chefs, dietitians, nutritionists, or food safety experts
- Not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, safe, or suitable for any specific dietary need, medical condition, or allergy
- Generated algorithmically and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies — including incorrect ingredients, unsafe ingredient combinations, or missing allergen information
6-2. Allergen and Food Safety Disclaimer
Important — Please read carefully:
While Yumroll allows you to set allergy and dietary preferences, the AI may still generate recipes that contain allergens or ingredients unsuitable for your dietary needs. We do not and cannot guarantee that generated recipes are free from any specific allergen or safe for any individual.
Limitations of AI-generated recipes:
- The AI cannot detect or warn about cross-contamination risks (e.g., shared cooking surfaces, trace amounts in processed ingredients)
- The AI may not recognize all names, forms, or derivatives of allergens (e.g., casein as a dairy derivative, or semolina as a wheat product)
- The AI may suggest ingredient substitutions that are not safe for your specific condition
- The AI has no knowledge of specific product brands, regional ingredient variations, or manufacturing processes
- Allergen information in AI outputs has not been verified against any food safety database
Your responsibilities — by using Yumroll, you acknowledge and agree that:
- YOU are solely responsible for verifying the safety of every ingredient in every recipe before purchasing, preparing, cooking, or consuming it
- YOU must independently check all ingredients for allergens, including reading product labels for “may contain” and cross-contamination warnings
- YOU must consult a qualified healthcare professional (physician, allergist, or registered dietitian) before relying on any recipe for medical dietary requirements
- YOU must ensure that recipes are safe and appropriate for anyone you are cooking for, including children, pregnant individuals, and individuals with food allergies or medical conditions
- YOU assume all risk associated with the preparation and consumption of food made using AI-generated recipes
If you have a severe or life-threatening food allergy, you must not rely on Yumroll's allergy settings as your sole safeguard. Always verify ingredients independently and carry your prescribed emergency medication (e.g., epinephrine auto-injector).
Yumroll assumes no liability for any allergic reactions, adverse health effects, foodborne illness, injury, or medical emergencies arising from the use of AI-generated recipes.
6-3. Nutritional Information
Any nutritional information provided in recipes is estimated by AI and:
- Has not been verified by a registered dietitian or laboratory analysis
- Should not be relied upon for medical, health, or dietary planning purposes
- May be inaccurate in calorie counts, macronutrient ratios, or micronutrient content
For accurate nutritional information, consult a registered dietitian or use verified nutritional databases.
6-4. Intellectual Property of Generated Content
Recipes generated through Yumroll are created by AI and provided for your personal use. You may:
- Save and use generated recipes for personal cooking
- Share individual recipes with friends and family
You may not:
- Commercially redistribute generated recipes at scale (e.g., publishing a cookbook of Yumroll recipes)
- Claim AI-generated recipes as your own original work for commercial purposes
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Abuse the Service — Attempt to bypass rate limits, access other users' data, or exploit vulnerabilities
- Automate access — Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Service without our permission
- Harmful content — Submit prompts designed to generate harmful, offensive, or illegal content
- Reverse engineer — Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying AI models or algorithms
- Impersonate — Impersonate another person or entity
- Illegal use — Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
8-1. Our Property
The Yumroll name, logo, website design, and underlying code are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without written permission.
8-2. Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you provide to the Service (e.g., theme inputs, ingredient lists). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process this content solely for the purpose of generating recipes.
9. Service Availability
9-1. Availability
We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:
- Scheduled maintenance
- Unplanned outages
- Third-party service disruptions (Supabase, Stripe, Anthropic, Vercel)
9-2. Modification and Discontinuation
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will provide at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers and process prorated refunds for unused subscription time.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Accuracy or reliability of AI-generated content
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
We shall not be liable for:
- Any damages arising from your reliance on AI-generated recipes (including allergic reactions, foodborne illness, or nutritional deficiencies)
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Damages exceeding the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise).

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your reliance on AI-generated content
- Any content you submit to the Service
12. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a formal dispute, you agree to contact us at support@yumroll.app and attempt to resolve the issue informally for at least 30 days.
12-2. Governing Law
